In 2004 McLaren elected to close the Park Lane showroom and chassis 065 returned to the factory where it underwent a full service in preparation for its sale to the current Asian owner. As such, it is the last McLaren F1 ever delivered and, since delivery, has never been raced or driven aggressively. As every McLaren, it has been subject to the utmost attention to detail, with the current vendor even flying a McLaren mechanic to Asia to service the car 12 months ago. It has since been returned to the McLaren factory in Surrey for a full service, and is offered with a full clean bill of health.
Showing 484 kilometres on its odometer, production number 065 is, as one would expect, flawless in every respect. It is finished in the Magnesium Silver so associated with McLaren F1s, complemented by a stylish and sleek black leather interior. It is essentially a new vehicle and remains virtually unused and untouched. The buyer will of course receive the original Facom titanium tool kit and bespoke leather luggage. In addition, the carbon-fibre transmission tunnel adjacent to the driver’s seat has been signed by Gordon Murray himself.
McLaren F1s are unlike anything else on the road with their lightweight, aerodynamic bodywork and underhood sophistication, not to mention their record-holding status. With numerous track records, the most advanced supercar engineering available at the time and, of course, the inevitable exclusivity commensurate with its development, the McLaren F1 is perhaps the greatest modern supercar, and in the eyes of many collectors the modern equivalent to the legendary Ferrari 250 GTO.

The McLaren F1/065 was not the last road-going F1 ever produced.
It was initially understood that the factory flew a technician to Singapore to service the car. The car was not serviced since it left the McLaren factory in 2004 but has since been sent back to the McLaren Factory and is presented at the auction with a full service including new tires and clutch.
Odometer history as confirmed by the Factory:
227km at end of production sign-off procedures.
347km at end of service procedures before shipping to Singapore.
437km on return from Singapore.
470km anticipated mileage on delivery at Auction. Note, all but 90km are McLaren test mileage.
De McLaren F1 blijft ondanks het feit dat ie alweer enigszins ‘gedateerd’ is toch nog steeds tot de verbeelding spreken. Het enige probleem is dat de eigenaren van een McLaren F1 vaak zo tevreden zijn met hun auto dat ze er niet over peinzen om hun exemplaar te verkopen. Dus als er eentje op de markt komt staan de kopers gelijk in rijen klaar. Crisis of geen crisis! En deze week werd er in Londen wel een hele bijzonder McLaren F1 geveild. Namelijk chassisnummer #065, oftewel de auto die tot en met 2004 stond te pronken in de McLaren showroom op Park Lane, Londen.
Ach, wat is 3,2 miljoen als je toch zoveel geld hebt dat je het anders toch niet opkrijgt.
Maar, ik heb het niet, dus ik ben wel een beetje jaloers ja.

Tjah, terecht. Het is en blijft een icoon. Al kan ik er niet bij dat iemand daar zo weinig mee rijdt.
Ok, dat moet dus een kwestie zijn van geld te veel hebben. Een Mclaren kopen en dan maar net 100 km er mee rijden. Goed dat hij verkocht is, kan er iemand ten minste van genieten.
wat ik niet snap is dat die man uit singapore deze auto voor zoveel geld koopt, en er dan maar 104 kilometer mee rijdt? … wat een nutteloze aankoop :p
in dit geval was het natuurlijk niet zo nutteloos want het heeft goed opgebracht
@Hardleers-: hoezo afgerachde testbak??? Volgens Mij geld dat voor Elke McLaren voor dat die de verkoop in ging eerst een Zware Test PerIoDe
Daar heeft de eigenaar al veel plezier van gehad! Waarschijnlijk alleen gebruikssporen op de bestuurdersstoel?
